School board has full agenda

The Clay Community School Corporation Board of Trustees will be busy during their meeting on Thursday.

The first point of business will be the election of officers for the Board of Finance, which is required to elect a president and secretary.

Afterwards Director of Business Affairs/Treasurer Mark Shayotovich will present the report on investments as required by Indiana Code 5-13-7-6 (Indiana School Laws and Rules, 2012- 2013, p. 157).

The trustees will meeting in the Board Room of the Central Administrative Offices, 1013 S. Forest Avenue, at 7:15 p.m. before the regular scheduled monthly board meeting.

  • So why is it Vigo County teachers and administrators are seeing a 4.0% pay increase this year and 4.5% the second on top of a 2.5% pay hike last year while Clay Co does not see any? Vigo school officials say the state teachers association considers it bargain.

    Looks like the Vigo school board is looking out for their teachers.
