Tribute to Air Mail to be featured museum program

Sunday, April 22, 2018

The next Clay County County Historical Society meeting is May 7 at 7 p.m. in the lower level of the museum. For this interesting program the museum will turn back the pages of history and share stories about Brazil City’s first airmail flight and pilot in 1938. May will mark the 100th anniversary of the world’s first regularly scheduled and continuous airmail service. The pilot, a Brazil native and postal carrier, was known at the Flying Post Man. The public is invited to attend this tribute to the beginning of Air Mail in the United States and learn Brazil’s part in making history.
