Many people at local National Night Out

With eyes on the sky in case of bad

weather the National Night Out 2018

was a fun-filled event at Forest Park

Tuesday night. First responders from

throughout the county gathered at the

event to mingle with students returning

to school and their family members

during the three-hour event.

“The object of this event is simple,”

said Brazil Police Chief Clint McQueen,

who was very happy with the hundreds

of people who stopped by to enjoy the

evening with first responders. “People

taking the opportunity to meet with

and talk to a first responder during this

event is the cornerstone of making our

community and our lives safer. A conversation

tonight might mean the next time

someone experiences trouble they will

be able to reach out to us, to trust us for

help. That’s what this event is all about:

Learning that we are all neighbors and

we are all here to be the best our community

can be, and that we are doing that

together.” See more photos inside.
