St. Vincent de Paul’s annual Hog Raffle

Annunciation SVdP Changing Lives Forever program

We will be providing a meal each week at 5:30pm for those in the class, their children and the

Volunteers (approximately 30 people.) If you are a ministry at church , or in an organization outside of church, or even several different parish members want to come together and would like to provide a meal one time during the 16 weeks or donate funding to provide a meal that would be greatly appreciated. Please call the office 812-448-1901.

We are also collecting donations for the dinners: paper plates, napkins, cups, and plastic ware. All donations can be dropped off in the parish center. Thank you for your continued support of this life changing ministry.

Brazil Nazarene Church

Looking for a church to attend? Then look no more as the congregation of the Brazil Nazarene located at 1002 E National Ave would love too have you join us for any of our services. During Worship we offer classes for Nursery, Wee Worship, Kindergarten and Primary if you would like your child to be a part of. We feel casual dress is appropriate for any or all our services.

Our schedule of services are as follows: Sunday we will start serving breakfast at 8;;30am, Sunday School for all ages 9am and Worship Service 10am.

Wednesday, Bible Study, studying Daniel, 11:30am, Kids Bible Club 7pm,Teen Bible Study 7pm,and Adult Prayer Group at 7pm.

Saturday, Men’s Prayer Group 9am.

We are partners with East Side Elementary School and we pray for them as well as remembering their needs of clothing etc. We are now putting together school supply’s for the students plus personal items. Our congregation will be bringing items needed all during August.

First Baptist Church

On September 9th, new programming will begin for our children’s ministry. Each week an integrated lesson will be taught in Sunday School, KidMo (during Sunday Morning Worship), and on Thursday night (during The Rock). Songs, games, crafts, and bible verses will all be used to reinforce the lesson of the week. This new approach is aimed at children in preschool through fifth grade. Also on September 9th, the Youth Group will kick-off on Sunday evenings at 4:30 p.m. for middle and high school students.

You are invited to join us at the following weekly services. Sunday school classes for all ages at the First Baptist Church begin at 9:30 a.m. Worship service follows at 10:30 a.m. with Nursery and KidMo offered for children through the 5th grade. Sunday Youth Group for middle and high school students runs 4:30 to 6 p.m. (beginning September 9th) and evening adult service starts at 5 p.m. Narcotics Anonymous meets on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. Also, every Tuesday, a bible study for middle and high school girls meets at 7 p.m. at the home of Stacey Thompson (slthompson73@yahoo.com). On Wednesday, an adult bible study is held at 12 noon at the YMCA and choir practice takes place at 6 p.m. at the church. On Thursday, the Kid’s Klothes Kloset is open from 1 to 4:30 p.m. and The Rock contemporary worship service begins at 7 p.m. with Fitness for Jesus also at 7 p.m. for the children.

Special Happenings at OCCC: Homemade Ice Cream Social on Saturday September 1st from 4-7:30pm

There will be great food and fellowship so come on out. We welcome Riley and Casey Hendrixson from Greencastle who will share with us their gift of music and testimony. There will also be a bounce house for the young and the young at heart. So tell your friends and come on out to the Little country church which has a BIG Heart for God

Peniel United Methodist Church

Sunday, August 12th, marks the 12th week after Pentecost. All are welcome to join us at Peniel UMC for Sunday School which begins at 10:00 a.m. There are classes for all age groups.

Our Worship Service follows at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Kent Beckman’s sermon series is entitled, We Walk By Faith, Not By Sight. This week’s focus is on Abraham and Sarah. The scripture references are 2 Corinthians 5:7; Hebrews 11:1-3 & 11-12; and Genesis 18:1-15.

After the service at 12:30 p.m. there will be a pitch in dinner to welcome Pastor Kent and his wife Kathy, to our community. All are welcome. ‘Come, join us at Peniel and catch the Spirit!’
