For 18 years French's has been giving kids free pumpkins for Halloween

Young and old alike enjoyed selecting the first pumpkin of the Halloween season Saturday morning during the French, Lawson-Miller, and Schoppenhorst Funeral Home’s 18th annual pumpkin ghiveaway. Organizers of the planned two-hour at 421 E. National Ave., Brazil, said the 250 pumpkins from Swifty Farms in Clay County were gone in 90 minutes. “It’s one of our favorite things to do, to be involved in the community like this,” said Nick French. “Seeing the smiles on kids faces is hard to beat.”
