Change in OCRA rules adds step to grant application for new fire station

During a public hearing Monday morning, grant writer Kristy Jerrell told Clay County Commissioners Center Point Volunteer Fire Department completed an income survey only to be told the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA) changed the rules and the income survey will have to be repeated before the fire department can complete the application for a half-million dollar grant to build a new fire station.
