Benwood Mt. Lebanon Church

Benwood Mt. Lebanon Church, 945 E. Co. Rd. 1200 N, Brazil. Sunday School starts at 9:30 a.m. and church Services start at 10:30 a.m. The sermon last week was from 2 Kings 6:1-7 about Elisha the Prophet, who helped a young man retrieve a borrowed ax head (iron) from the Jordan River after it sank to the bottom. I will not ruin the story for you, read it yourself to see how this miracle could have happened. The basic principle of the verses conveys that all we have is borrowed from God, take inventory of the tools He has provided us to serve Him and use them with care.

Benwood has set the dates for Church Camp; it will be June 11-14.  Children must have completed 3rd grade through age 18. Financial Scholarships are available, so sign up your kids as soon as possible.  Call the Church at 812-446-0531 to reserve your spot.  We look forward to seeing them there.

Women’s Bible Study meets every Thursday at 9:45 a.m. at the Benwood Community Building behind the Church.  Ladies, please come join us.  Talk to you next week, Cathy.

Berea Christian Church March 8, 2020

This week we are excited to welcome Andrzej Korytkowski. He visiting us as a representative of Ostróda Christian Camp in Ostróda, Poland. Ostróda Christian Camp was founded in 1971 and is much like a church camp here in the United states. The camp has a long tradition of organizing camps for children, teens, and families with the cooperation of volunteers from the US, Ukraine, Germany, Ireland, and other countries.

Organizationally, Ostróda Christian Camp is part of Fellowship of Christian in Poland, however they have a long tradition of working together with our brothers and sisters from other evangelical Churches. For more information please see their web site @ http://www.ostrodacamp.org/home-1/

All are welcome to come and hear about the work Ostróda is doing to help grow the Kingdom

of God in Europe! Next month, Berea is sending a team on a mission trip to the camp to help them prepare for the upcoming Summer camp season.

Next week (3/15) we will finish our series examining who are we and why do we do that within the Christian Church. In this final week we will take a look at the inerrancy of Scripture, Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. We pray that you will join us this Sunday to find out more.
