The Rotary Club of Brazil has partnered with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive on Monday, April 27th at the First Christian Church in Brazil. This blood drive event will take place from 1 PM to 6 PM. To donate blood, the Red Cross is encouraging participants to schedule an appointment for this blood drive by visiting www.redcrossblood.org/give. You can also contact Rotarian, Andrew Bowman for help scheduling.

Hoosiers across the state are in desperate need of a very limited blood supply. Over the last few weeks, over 9,000 blood drives have been canceled in the United States. This equates to losing over 300,000 units of blood donations. In Indiana, there have been over 150 blood drive cancellations alone. The already stressed medical field and blood supply is feeling the effects of this emergency.

Blood donations are essential to the medical field and these shortages can and will affect patients across the Wabash Valley, Indiana, and United States. These blood donations will go to help doctors meet the needs of patients undergoing surgery, cancer treatments, disaster relief, and blood transfusions.

The Rotary Club of Brazil is calling on members of the Wabash Valley to step up in this time of need and help provide help and support for our fellow Hoosiers.

For more information or help registering for the blood drive, contact Rotary Board Member, Andrew Bowman at 812-605-1163 or andrew@bowmansproturf.com.
