On Thursday, the state published Clay County had 12 cases, but that extra case was misidentified as a Clay County resident, said Hyatt, who admits the information is coming in very quickly creating a mistake once in a while.

“Clay County has 11 confirmed cases at this time,” said Hyatt, who wants to make sure the public has the correct information.

Of the 11 confirmed COVID-19 cases, Hyatt said nine are self quarantined at home (with at least one in recovery), with two patients hospitalized. No additional information is available due to federal law - the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
