Coach Kathy Vossmer on Ellis: Turbo (Halle) is the pitcher I’d been waiting for. I remember repeatedly asking her father if Halle was a freshman yet, but she was only in junior high. Halle is amazing. She underwent open heart surgery the fall of her freshman year and was ready to play that spring. She is so strong, constantly lifting in the gym and excelling her pitching and hitting through private instruction. She’s honest with herself and her coaches on what is working and what isn’t, and she open to suggestions/correction. I am thrilled that she will continue her softball career at Lincoln Trail and feel she will thrive there.
