Danielle White was named to the ICGSA 2019-2020 Academic All-State Softball Team.

Although there was no high school softball season this spring, the Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association remained committed to announcing its ICGSA 2019-2020 Academic All-State Softball Team.

And among those to find their name on the 75-player roster was Northview senior Danielle White.

In order to qualify for a spot on the Academic All-State team, student-athletes must be a senior participating in an IHSAA girls’ sport, have a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent, have a minimum SAT score of 1110 on the critical reading (verbal) and math or a minimum ACT composite score of 24 and must be a varsity participant in a minimum of 50 percent of the contests in an IHSAA sponsored girls’ sports program.

Despite not getting the opportunity to suit up for her senior campaign because of the coronavirus pandemic, White finished her time as a Northview Knight by putting together a strong junior season.

At the plate, she had a battling line of .333/.556/.333. White scored six runs, was walked twice and stole one base while putting together a rock solid .947 fielding percentage from her various positions around the diamond.
