Coach Kathy Vossmer on Barger: Mak (Makenzie) is another one who made her impact as a freshman. She is such a versatile playerand was utilized at multiple different positions. More than being versatile, Mak is willing to step up and play any position needed to best support her team, without question. She is a excellent listener and takes constructive criticism well. She is a hard worker and has a fierce love for her teammates. I hate how this season has ended for all of our athletes, but especially Mak, as she missed junior year due to a shoulder surgery. I am incredibly excited and proud of her for pursing softball at the next level, despite obstacles the last two seasons. She demonstrates true perseverance.
