Motorists urged to use caution on SR 340 during fiber-optic project

Motorists are urged to use caution while traveling along State Road 340.

A drive by North Clay Middle School will let travelers see a large amount of equipment parked near the school over the next few weeks.

Crews from Baseline Communications, out of Fort Wayne, IN, will be working along the north side of State Road 34 from the early morning into the night (7 a.m.-9 p.m. or later) while installing fiber-optic lines that will enable the school corporation to have better communications.

Motorists are urged to use caution while traveling in the area with workers using heavy equipment from North County Road 200 West to 425 West using DitchWitch equipment to install the lines underground for at least 4-6 weeks.
