Clay County to extend free COVID tests into this week
The Clay County Health Department, in cooperation with the Indiana State Department of Health, will continue to offer free COVID-19 testing four days this week to any Clay County residences.
The test site will be held in Brazil's Forest Park Cow Palace on:
Tuesday, November 24 - 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Wednesday, November 25 - 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Thursday, November 26 - CLOSED
Friday, November 27 - 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Saturday, November 28 - 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
This COVID-19 test is free to the public and Clay County Residents can drive through or walk up.
Please follow the posted signs. No appointments are necessary for Indiana residents you will need to provide a state of Indiana drivers license, Indiana issued ID card or proof of residency such as a water bill, phone bill. This will be a nasopharyngeal swab test. This test is confidential and you should receive your results in 3 to 5 days.
People who should be tested are those who are at risk with the following health conditions:
Over age 65
Diabetic
Obesity
High blood pressure
Heart or lung issues or any other underlying health conditions
Those being tested need to take 15 to 20 minutes to fill out the information paperwork and receive the test.
