Wind chill advisory 1 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday; winter storm watch from Sunday night through Tuesday morning

The National Weather Service has placed Clay County and most of western Indiana in a wind chill warning from 1 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, with wind chills expected to reach 20 degrees below zero.

Clay County is also under a winter storm watch from late Sunday night through Tuesday morning.

• WHAT...For the Wind Chill Advisory, very cold wind chills expected. Wind chills as low as 20 below zero. For the Winter Storm Watch, heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches possible.

• WHERE...Portions of central, southwest and west-central Indiana.

• WHEN...For the Wind Chill Advisory, from 1 AM to 1 PM EST Sunday. For the Winter Storm Watch, from late Sunday night through Tuesday morning.

• IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. The cold wind chills could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken.

• ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Wind chills will be lowest around sunrise on Sunday. The heaviest snow is expected Sunday night into early Monday.
