Cooper, Lackey named Northview's Class of 2021 Top Athletes
Your 2021 Outstanding Female Athlete goes to Maggie Lackey. Maggie has participated in two sports during her high school career. She is a member of the soccer and track teams, earning eight varsity letters and is a five-time WIC All-Conference Selection. She is a four-time WIC Academic All-Conference Selection. During her four years, she was member of four WIC Sectional Championship teams (three in soccer, one in track), an individual WIC Champion in the 200m, a recent winner in the 400m relay and a member of four Sectional Championship teams in soccer and an individual sectional champion in the 400m relay. She was two-time ICGSA Second Team All-State, two-time Academic All-State and Second Team All-District. Next year she has decided to continue her soccer and track careers on an athletic scholarship to Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College.
Your 2021 Outstanding Male Athlete goes to Brevin Cooper. Brevin has participated in four sports during his high school career. He is a member of the tennis, basketball and golf teams and also played baseball, earning 10 varsity letters and is a four-time WIC All-Conference selection. He has been a member of three WIC championship teams (two in tennis and one in golf) and three Sectional championship teams (two in tennis and one in basketball) He recently finished second overall in the WIC Golf Championship, shooting 73. Next year he has decided to continue his golf career on an athletic scholarship to Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College.
