CYFL Check-in: Week 3 edition

After a week off due to COVID-19 protocol The 2021 CYFL Pee Wee season was back in full force Saturday.

The Kreyton Strong Panthers and the Ace Hardware Bulldogs flexed their muscles and dominated their opponents.

In the first game of the day, the Bulldogs defeated the Riddell National Bank Lions 32-6.

The Bulldogs played a complete game on both sides of the ball.

The Bentley duo of Bentley McVeigh and Bentley Bennett scored all five touchdowns for the Bulldogs. McVeigh accounted for three of them and Bennett added two.

Defensively for the Bulldogs, Jackson Pestoff led the way with 12 tackles and a takeaway. Bentley Bennett added eight tackles and a takeaway. Bentley McVeigh had six tackles and a takeaway. Cale Cesinger had four tackles and Corbin Cooprider added three.

Gavin Boiling scored the lone touchdown for the Lions as time expired. Brandon Wheeler and Daymon Ferry had seven tackles each and Eli (Rip) Gardner added five tackles.

In game two, the Kreyton Strong Panthers dominated the Dairy Queen Ducks 43-13.

Jack Dearth and Max Raetz each scampered for two touchdowns apiece. Colton Jones, Cruze Shepard and Bryson Silvers added one touchdown each.

The Panthers dominating defense was led by Elias Nauman, Jack Dearth, Max Raetz, Bryon Silvers and Colton Jones. Nauman, with four tackles including three sacks, single handedly ended a Duck drive with three consecutive sacks and a forced fumble and recovery. Dearth added six tackles including two sacks. Silvers had six tackles including a sack and a fumble recovery. Raetz added eight tackles. Jones had four tackles and a take away as well.

Kayson Keith scored both touchdowns for the Ducks. Keith and Maximus Osborn each had three tackles. Kreed Caps and Xavier Gurchiek each added two tackles.

The league will be off next weekend for Labor Day, but will return Saturday September 11, Patriot Day, with a full schedule to celebrate this great nation with our beloved game of football.

The Bulldogs vs. The Ducks at 10 a.m. followed by the Panthers vs. the Lions at 11:30 a.m.
