FRIDAY'S COVID-19 UPDATE: Clay County advisory level returns back to ‘red' level
Indiana State Department of Health’s COVID-19 Data Report Dashboard updated Wednesday to reflect current data. Clay County returned to the RED category on the 2-Week Metric Score, Advisory Level, Weekly Cases Per 100,000 Residents, and the 7-Day All Tests Positivity Rate.
The ISDH reports 98.4% of the samples taken from positive cases reported in September are the Delta Variant (B.1.627.2).
The overall number of COVID-19 tests performed in Clay County since the arrival of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020 is 37,329 (date range of 03-12-2020 to 09-08-2021). A total of 14,915 individuals have been tested during that time, with 3,602 positive results and 54 deaths reported.
The two most recent deaths were reported on August 24th, 29th, and September 7.
Of the reported deaths, 38.9% were female, with 61.1% male.
The demographics from ISDH include no data for individuals ranging from 0-49. Most of the deaths occurred in the following:
