James L. Price, 91, of Brazil, Indiana, passed away on February 25, 2023, while at Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care.

Jim was born on February 26, 1931, in Brazil, Indiana the son of Harry Price Sr. and Mae (William) Price. He graduated from Van Buren High School with the class of 1949. While at Van Buren, Jim played on the baseball team. Jim served his country in the United States Army where he received 1 purple heart and 2 bronze stars. As a civilian, Jim worked for Alcan Aluminum where he retired after nearly 30 years of service. Following retiring from Alcan he worked in maintenance for Clay County Hospital for about 10 years.

Jim attended the First Baptist Church for many years. He was a lifelong baseball fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents Harry Price Sr. and Mae Price, a daughter Rebecca Sue Sanders, and a brother Harry Price Jr..

Survivors include his two sons Tim Price and Jeff Price; grandchildren: Nicole Olson and Timothy P. Sylvester and wife Kelly, great-grandchildren: Alex Olson, Chase Sylvester, and Blake Sylvester; and a sister Nila Archer and husband Carl as well as various extended family members.

Cremation services have been entrusted to French Funeral Home, in Brazil.
