Mary Ann Heck died peacefully surrounded by her family at Witham Hospital. She was born March 22, 1937, and recently had a birthday celebration with family. She grew up in Terre Haute, IN and graduated from Otter Creek High School. In 1955, she married the love of her life, Loyd W. Heck. They met over a butterscotch sundae at Stapleton’s Market and were happily married until his death in February 2022.

Most of her working career was in personnel and human resources in Terre Haute and Brazil. In 1991, she and Loyd moved to Lebanon where they treasured spending time with family. Mary Ann especially enjoyed spoiling her great grandchildren, tending to her flowers, baking, the Indiana Pacers, and watching the world from her porch swing.

She is survived by her son, Jeff (Debbie) Heck; grandchildren, Cory (Ashley) Heck, Casey (Craig) Callahan; great grandchildren, Maggie and Grady Heck, Lee, Jay, and Kai Callahan; and sister, Jaimie (Jon) Ellis. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth Kerr and Leroy Coffenberry and sister, Nancy Jackson.

Family and friends will gather Tuesday, March 28, for visitation from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:30 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon.

Mary Ann will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
