She lost her battle with cancer.

On March 24, 2023, Beth died at her home with her family at her side.

Beth was born May 28, 1954, to John and Helen Mary “Eckerman” Avelis. Both have preceded her in death.

Beth’s older sister Catherine “Avelis” Ford also preceded her, along with her inlaws, James L Shaw and Beverly June Shaw.

Beth married Randal Shaw on May 5, 1989. Randall and the couple’s son Randall Brent Shaw also survive.

Beth’s siblings, John and Mary Margaret Avelis, Edward and Deborah Avelis, Patrick and Marlene Avelis, and sister, Terese Avelis, with her inlaws, James C and Carol Shaw, Michae4l and Susan Shaw, Tammy May Shaw and Tina Shaw Sanders survive. There are also 33 nieces and nephews, and 34 great-nieces and nephews also survive.

Beth’s special friends were Erin Kearns and Wanda K. Miller.

Beth also had a passion for the art of all kinds and music. She was also an extremely talented seamstress.

“She could do magic with a needle and thread.”

Samaritan Funeral Homes confirmed there would not be any services planned.
