TOP STORY OF THE DAY - Clay County Sheriff's Department drug investigations leads to three arrests within the last week

After several investigations by Detectives with the Clay County Sheriff's Department, three arrests within the last week.

According to documents provided by the Clay County Sherrif's Department:

On May 19, deputies and detectives served an arrest warrant for Katelynn H. Weaver, 21, at her Brazil home without incident.

Weaver was transported to the Clay County Justice Center (CCJC). Katelynn Weaver is held on a bond of $50,000 with no 10 percent acceptable.

Weaver is charged with Dealing Methamphetamine, a level 2 Felony, and Possession of Methamphetamine, a level 4 Felony.

On May 23, detectives served an arrest warrant on Julie F. Wells, 45, at a Brazil residence. Wells was taken into custody without incident and transported to the CCJC.

Wells is being held on the warrant and has a bond of $25,000 with no 10 percent and Possession of Methamphetamine, a Level 6 Felony.

On May 24, Michael L. Cooksey Jr., 46, Terre Haute, was located and served a warrant at a Terre Haute residence. Cooksey is held on the warrant with a $25,000 bond with no 10 percent acceptable. Cooksey was taken into custody without incident and taken to the CCJC.

Cooksey is charged with Dealing Methamphetamine, a level 4 Felony, and Possession of Methamphetamine, a level 6 Felony.

All are currently incarcerated and awaiting formal court proceedings.
