Bryce Andrew Brown, 18, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 26, 2023 in Indianapolis. Bryce was born on May 29, 2004 in Terre Haute to Chris Brown and Candy (Smith) Brown.

Bryce graduated from Whites High School in Wabash, Indiana. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 841 and worked for Poindexter Excavating in Indianapolis. Bryce was a very hard worker and enjoyed running the scraper. When he wasn’t working for Poindexter, he was working for the family business, Brown Brothers Excavating. While working at Poindexter, Bryce gained a mentor and a great friend in his boss, Jared Haddon.

When Bryce wasn’t working, he enjoyed listening to music and singing. He loved sports, he played football and basketball, racing go karts with his brother, and was also a bowler. Grandma Rita was his bowling buddy. Bryce loved spending time with his family and friends. He had a big heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed it, whether it was a friend or a complete stranger. He never met a stranger, and left a lasting impact on anyone that he met.

Bryce was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bernell and John Smith, uncles, Rick Smith and Bill Brown, great grandparents, Jack and Lucille Brown, and Robert Palm.

Bryce is survived by his parents, Chris and Candy Brown, one brother, Brodie Brown, grandparents, Rita Brown and Jack and Theresa Brown, and one great grandmother, Betty Palm. Bryce is also survived by his four-legged best friends, Inferno and Pepper, as well as numerous extended family members and close friends.

A visitation will be held Thursday, June 1st from 4-8 P.M. at Lawson-Miller Chapel, 1702 East National Avenue in Brazil. A funeral service will be held Friday June 2nd at 11 A.M. at the funeral home. Friends and family may visit from 10 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Summit Lawn Cemetery.
