First Responders Here when needed

If you were curious about the commotion on North Walnut Street Wednesday morning, you are not alone.

Many people contacted The Brazil Times about the first responders positioned near Logan Court Apartment building around 10 a.m.

The Brazil Police Department responded with Brazil Fire Department to what was reported as an apartment fire.

However, when BPD and BFD arrived on the scene they found out it was a couch fire.

Assistant Police Chief Dennis Archer credited the people in the apartment for getting the fire out before things could get worse.

Archer said it was “pretty much over before first responders arrived,” but that is perfectly ok.

“We are here when needed,”’ Archer said.
