The Poland Community Lions Club wishes to thank the Wabash Valley Community Foundation for $15,613.00 grant monies and Perkins Remodeling and Construction LLC for installation and donated work ($1,900) of two new pieces of playground equipment that have been installed at the Poland Community Lions Club Park. A merry go round and a “Terre Haute Play System”, are now open for use.

To encourage use of the equipment, a new program is being instituted.

“Fitness Passports” are distributed at this time. Children are asked to use the equipment and record what equipment they used and the amount of time spent on the equipment until August 3rd, when passports are to be deposited in the “night depository” slot on the northwest corner of the Lions Clubhouse.

Prizes will be awarded to those who have used the equipment throughout the summer, August 10th at a Community event, in the park.

To obtain a passport, send a message to PolandLions@gmail.com with you name and contact information.
