WVFCA All-Star Game to be played on June 22 at Rose-Hulman

The Wabash Valley Football Coaches Association announced its plans for their 2024 Annual All-Star game. This will be the 20th Anniversary game played. The game will be played at Cook Stadium at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on Saturday, June 22 with a 7 p.m. kick-off.

This year, the two squads will be headed up by Linton-Stockton’s head coach Brian Oliver, who will be coaching the Gold Division, and Monrovia’s head coach Andy Olson, who will be heading up the Black Division. There are 36 area high schools participating in this year’s game. There will be a banquet on Friday, June 21 to recognize the athletes and also induct three people into the WVFCA Hall of Fame.

This year’s inductees are Chris Barrett from Terre Haute North, Herb King from Fountain Central and Danny Teiken from Eastern Greene. The keynote speaker this year will be Dr. Jason Winkle. Dr. Winkle is the current CEO of the Monroe County YMCA and is also the former Director of Combatives at West Point. The WVFCA will also be recognizing and honoring two individuals who lost their lives in the past year in Mike Meyer from Greencastle and Jedd Cummings from Eastern Greene.

The banquet will be held at the new Terre Haute Convention Center starting at 6 p.m. Anyone interested in attending the banquet can reach out to the WVFCA by emailing tom@pacesettersports.com. Tickets for the banquet are $35. The All-Star Game is sponsored by First Financial Bank, the Terre Haute Convention and Visitors Bureau and Pacesetter Sports.
