COLLEGE REPORT: Rindone sets career bests in season debut against ISU
During the 2023 women’s college soccer season, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods goal keeper Lauren Rindone appeared in three games, all of which came in relief duty of starter Kaylee Thaler, and recorded nine saves.
The former Northview standout surpassed each of those statistics in the season opener against Indiana State University at Memorial Stadium on Aug. 15 as the junior keeper got the starting nod, played the entire 90-minute game and came up with a career-high 13 saves.
Rindone started the two subsequent games against Huntington University and Grace College and played an average of 67.5 minutes. She recorded a combined 10 saves and picked up her first career win in the 2-1 victory over Huntington University.
Rindone will have the chance to play close to home again coming up as the Pomeroys, who own a 1-2 record, visit Rose Hulman on Friday.

Kaylee Lowe (SMWC women’s soccer)
Kaylee Lowe and the Saint Mary-of-the-Woods women’s soccer team opened the 2024 season recently, taking on Indiana State University, Huntington University and Grace College. The senior midfielder started all three games and played an average of 72.3 minutes during them and recorded one shot in the win over Huntington University. Saint Mary-of-the-Woods owns a 1-2 record and visits Rose Hulman Friday.
Raelee Everhart (SMWC women’s soccer)
Raelee Everhart and the Saint Mary-of-the-Woods women’s soccer team opened the 2024 season recently, taking on Indiana State University, Huntington University and Grace College. The junior midfielder/defender appeared in two games, which included a start against Huntington University, and played an average of 49.5 minutes during them. Saint Mary-of-the-Woods owns a 1-2 record and visits Rose Hulman Friday.
Kambree James (SMWC women’s soccer)
Kambee James and the Saint Mary-of-the-Woods women’s soccer team opened the 2024 season recently, taking on Indiana State University, Huntington University and Grace College. The freshman midfielder/defender appeared in all three games, which included making her collegiate debut against ISU on Aug. 15, and played an average of 28 minutes during them. Saint Mary-of-the-Woods owns a 1-2 record and visits Rose Hulman Friday.
Tori Schopmeyer (SMWC volleyball)
Tori Schopmeyer and the Saint Mary-of-the-Woods volleyball team opened the 2024 season recently, taking on Tennessee Wesleyan University twice, Haskell Indian Nations University and Mission University. The senior outside hitter appeared in both games against Tennessee Wesleyan University (note: statistics from the matches against Haskell Indian Nations University and Mission University were not made available to the public) and played four total sets. Schopmeyer recorded 10 kills, four digs and one block. Saint Mary-of-the-Woods owns a 4-0 record and takes part in the Showdown in the Woods Tournament beginning on Friday.
Audrey Lee (SMWC volleyball)
Audrey Lee and the Saint Mary-of-the-Woods volleyball team opened the 2024 season recently, taking on Tennessee Wesleyan University twice, Haskell Indian Nations University and Mission University.
