JOYCE ALOHA SWARTZ, Brazil, IN

Joyce Aloha Swartz passed away on August 25, 2024.

She was born on June 9, 1929 in Logan, West Virginia. Joyce was the oldest daughter of Walter and Macie (Ray) Hull. She moved to Brazil, Indiana when she was 14 years old and graduated from Brazil High School in 1947. Joyce Hull and Daniel Swartz were united in marriage in 1951.

Joyce attended church from the time she was a child. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Brazil for over 65 years. She loved nature and long walks in the woods surrounding her home. She is survived by her four sons, Danny (Carol), Henry (Zanna Dibartoli), Eric (LaFonda Woolf), and John Swartz. Three brothers, Tom (Jean) Hull, Richard Hull, Butch (Becky) Hull, and one sister, Barbara Downey. Grandchildren: Corey and Lucas Swartz, Aaron and Ethan Boring, Caleb and Collin Swartz, Macie Klaypak, Brittany Gooding, Bree Rosen, and Zachary Swartz. Fifteen great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a memorial contribution be made to The First Church of the Nazarene in Brazil, Indiana.
