RODNEY DALE KNIGHT, Brazil, IN

Rodney Dale Knight, 57, of Brazil, Indiana, passed away at his home, on August 24, 2024, following a short battle with cancer.

Rodney was born on May 13, 1967, in Princeton, Indiana, the son of Barbara (Helm) Knight and Gary DeLong. Later in life, Rodney found peace in God, turned his life over to Him, and appreciated the forgiveness of sin. Rodney was a giver at heart and loved helping others.

He served at the Emergency Food Pantry and the St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry. He dearly loved those he served with.

He also was a knife collector. He enjoyed fishing, working on toys, listening to music and collecting eagles and flags. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Bill and Mary Lou Helm; his mother Barbara Knight; father Gary DeLong; sister Jan Carter; and brother Kevin Lee Knight.

Rodney is survived by his wife Terri Knight; step-children: Brittany Branson, Courtney Branson, Jeffrey Engle, Anthony Cooper (Taylor), Ashley Cooper, and Tiffany Cooksey; grandchildren: McKinley, Shaleigh, Nathaniel, Benji, Colton, Trinity, Caden, Alyace, and Emberly; siblings: Bill Knight (Allison), Sherrie Johnson (Billy), Karen Farmer (Jack), Melissa Fithian (Steve); and a special aunt Jamie Sharp as well as many extended family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Meridian Towers 122 W. Jackson St. Brazil, Indiana 47834 on September 8, 2024 from 4-8pm.
