Greencastle man caught in CID investigation
The Criminal Investigative Division(CID) at the Clay County Sheriff’s Office are staying busy with another drug arrest on the books.
Clay County Sheriff Brison Swearingen confirmed the arrest Friday afternoon in a press release.
The CID and Narcotics Detective;conducted a lenghty investigation that led to an arrest warrant for narcotics related charges. The effort led to an arrest on August 30, of Daymian T. Weist, 29, of Greencastle. Weist was arrested by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, transported from Putnam County and booked into the Clay County Jail on the following charging information: Dealing Methamphetamine a level 3 Felony; and Possession of Methamphetamine - a level 5 Felony.
Weist is currently held on a $2,500 bond.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the following agencies during the investigation and arrest: Clay County Prosecutor’s Office and the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.
