Leading up to the arrival of the Vietnam Traveling Wall, The Brazil Times will feature a short article honoring local veterans killed in action in Vietnam.

SGT Max Wayne Batchelor (Army)

Max Wayne Batchelor was born in Brazil, Indiana, on July 30, 1946.

Batchelor was the son of Thomas Virgle Batchelor and Wanda Pauline Murphy Batchelor. Batchelor was one of four children, with siblings Ronald Lee Batchelor, Tomas Paul Batchelor, and Jackie D. Batchelor.

Batchelor passed away on October 4, 1967, at age 21.

For the record Max was one of 9 children,,besides those named who are deceased there are 5 living-Earl,Terry,Etta,Mike,and Tim.
