Media Advisory: WorkOne to Host Community Job Fair

According to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, there are currently 2,566 job openings in Indiana Growth Region 7 (Clay, Parke, Putnam, Sullivan, Vermillion and Vigo counties). To help employers fill these positions and to assist the job seekers in our community, the Western Indiana Workforce Development Board (WIWDB) and WorkOne Western Indiana (WorkOne West) has partnered with the Indiana National Guard to host a community job fairs in Putnam County. The job fair is at no cost to participating businesses or job seekers.

On September 11th, the job fair will be held from 12pm to 5pm in Greencastle at the National Guard Armory. More than 15 employers have registered to attend and to connect with local job seekers.

Job fairs provide a unique opportunity for job seekers to speak face to face with company officials who are seeking qualified workers. Job seekers are encouraged to visit their local WorkOne office for help with resume creation or to brush up on their interview skills prior to the job fairs.
