QUENTIN "DOUG" DOUGLAS LUCAS, Brazil, IN

Quentin “Doug” Douglas Lucas died at the age of 63 on September 14, 2024. He was born January 4, 1961 to the parents of Norman and Wanda Lucas.

Shortly after birth, Doug was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and severe developmental delays. Doug was adored by his family; however, due to his intense needs, he was placed in Muscatatuck in Seymour when he was 5 years old in order to receive the services he required. Later, Doug was placed in group homes in the Brazil area where he lived until his death. The family would like to thank all staff members in the group homes who assisted in his care over the past 40 years.

Doug enjoyed listening to music and sitting outside in swings or rocking chairs enjoying beautiful days.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents Norman and Wanda Lucas, paternal grandparents Verna and Leo (Shorty) Fortin and aunt Shirley Albright.

Doug is survived by an uncle Jerry Fortin and cousins Rhonda Lawrence, Toni Johnson, Sheila Bell, Bill Albright and other extended family members.

Graveside services will be held at Calcutta Cemetery on September 24, 2024 at 10:00 am with Rev. Russ True officiating.
