JERRY "BUB" HIGGINBOTHAM, Brazil, IN

Jerry “Bub” Higginbotham, 79, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Towne Park Assisted Living in Brazil. He was born on January 30, 1945 in Paris, Illinois to the late Eugene and Mildred (Fowler) Higginbotham. Bub graduated from Martinsville High School in 1965, and worked as the lead cook for several railroad companies including, CSX, Con Rail, and New York Central.

Bub enjoyed traveling and attending local sporting events, he was a great cook and loved going to eat. He was an animal lover at heart, and in his earlier years loved to dance. Jerry was preceded in death by his partner, Robert Webster.

He is survived by his brother, Larry (Sheryl) Higginbotham; aunt, Marge Moran; as well as several cousins, and other extended family.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 P.M. Friday, October 4, 2024 in the Bill Webster Memorial Chapel at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Pastor Jeff Bridgewater officiating. The family will accept friends for visitation on Friday from 4:00 P.M. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice.
