He was born Dec. 25, 1927, in Indianapolis to Carl Emerson and Maude (Trotter) Lantz. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Ellettsville and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He retired as a Printer Pressman at Sentinel Printing after 27 years, he then worked as a self employed contractor for ten years at AGA Corp., and later worked at Indiana University as a custodian.
Lloyd is survived by his two sons, Mark Emerson Lantz of Gosport, Indiana, Scott Paul (Teresa) Lantz of Brazil; two daughters, Paula Elaine (Robert) Fox of Plainfield, Indiana, and Claudia Gale (Charlie) Ozment of Spencer, Indiana; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one sister Rosemary Peiper of Speedway, Indiana.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Dorothy (Lambert) Lantz, one daughter-iin-law Norma Lantz and two sisters, Edith Cook and Lorene Heiter.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 2006, at the West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer with visitation Friday, June 9, 2006, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow in New Union Cemetery.
