Dora Jean Beeler, 77 of Brazil passed away July 9, 2006 at 12:13pm at St. Vincent Clay Hospital. She was born April 19, 1929 in Villa Grove, IL the daughter of Alva Shafer and Mamie Alice Pearman. As a young woman, she lived in Tyler, Texas. She later met William E. Beeler and they married on November 30, 1979. She was a loving husband, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband Bill Beeler; daughters, Anita Gaskill and special friend Rick Parker, and Lisa Wallen and husband Don; four grandchildren, Josh Foulke, Jeff Foulke, Chris Schepper, and Lacinda Taylor and husband Derek Taylor; two great-grandchildren, Taylor Schepper and Dedadji Taylor; special nieces, Janet Russell, Nellie Myers, Lynn Pound and Elaine Clarke and special nephew Robert Shafer; 17 other nieces and nephews and other extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Wilbur Shafer, Clarence Shafer William Shafer, Alva Allen "Pete " Shafer; six sisters, Louise Sherrill, Golda Smith, Ruth Banta, Martha Hardman, Lena Shafer, and Loretta Shafer; one nephew, Glen Wayne Shafer; one niece Joyce Lester.

Services will be held Thursday at 1:00pm at French Funeral Home with Revs. Richard Pippin and Ernie Rush officiating. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8pm and again Thursday prior to services.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Christmas in the Park. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
