She was born Jan. 11, 1941, in Coalmont, Ind., she was the daughter of Oscar Thomas Black Sr. and Naomi M. Crosby Black.
She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Oscar Thomas Black Jr.
Survivors include her sister, Catherine Griffith of Jasonville; sister-in-law, Nancy Black of Brazil; 11 nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 20, 2006, at the McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home, 631 East Main St., Jasonville, IN. Burial will be in the K of P Cemetery in Hymera, Ind. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 - 8 p.m. and 9 a.m. until service time Thursday.
