She was born on March 24, 1920, in Vigo County to Ray Baker and Blanche (Newman) Baker.
She was a member of Cornerstone Bible Church in Terre Haute.
Survivors include three children, Harold "Mike" Bridgewater (Delores), and Rebecca Nixon, both of Terre Haute; and Carol Sullivan (Jim), Avon, Ind. Grandchildren include, Angie Chopra (Vic), Avon; Missy Sturgill (Steve), Brownsburg, Ind.; Josh Sullivan, Avon; Brenda McDaniel (Jeff), Seelyville, Ind.; Don Bridgewater (Marcia), Ellen Cruse (Brent), Rebecca Cole (Dan), and Dan Nixon, all of Terre Haute; great-grandchildren, Morgan McDaniel, Stevie Bridgewater, Frances Frame, Holly Cruse, Kaylin Cruse, Alex Cole, Erin Cole, Zach VanDuzer, Tasha Chopra, Anthony Sturgill, Mary Sturgill, and Joey Sturgill; one brother, Joe Baker, Terre Haute; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Kenneth Bridgewater; a grandson, Johnny Nixon; and five sisters, Muriel Craig, Mary Green, Lucille Quillam, Lillian Meneely and Alice Miller.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-8 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ben Johnson and Rev. Ryan Doyle officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.
