Dolores Ruth DeCamp Pierce, 69 of Brazil passed away Sept. 26, 2006, at 10:04 p.m. at West Central Community Hospital. She had recently been a resident at Lee Allen Bryant Nursing Home. She was born June 28, 1937, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, the daughter of John Alexander Hamilton and Sarah Dessell Rose Hamilton. She was a kitchen worker at Pizza Hut. In the past she had been a home healthcare worker for the elderly. She attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses for many years.

Survivors include her daughters Mary DeCamp Guess and husband Mike of Salem, Oregon, Cindy DeCamp Wright of Brazil, and Dessell DeCamp Lawson and husband David of Clay City; nine grandchildren, David Guess and wife Maria, Mark Guess and wife Annie, Michelle Guess, Bethany Guess, Quincy DeCamp and wife Hannah, Dusty Wright and wife Jenny, Iris Wright, David Kelly Lawson, and Sara Lawson; five great-grandchildren, Alenah DeCamp, Haley Wright, Levi Wright, Alijah Abney and Julie Estelle Guess, and a step-mother Henrietta Hamilton. She is also survived by her dear sister, Julia Wright and her family of North Carolina, sister in law, Jeannie Smith and family of Washington State, and Cousin Sally Williams of Rockville and other extended family.

She was preceded in death by her father John Hamilton; her mother Sarah Dessell Reed and stepfather Charles Backus; and her two husbands William Clyde Decamp, Jr. and Arnold Pierce; two sons Billy DeCamp and John DeCamp; one brother Rodney Backus.

Graveside services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Summit Lawn Cemetery. Richard Griffin will officiate. Donations may be directed to the World Wide Work of Jehovah's Witnesses.
