Pictured are Jordan Bussing, Justin Siples, Nic Beasley, Garrett Mager and Beau McKinney. The eighth grade students represented North Clay Middle School at the District Media Fair at Honey Creek Middle School on March 8. Bussing, Beasley, Mager, McKinney and Siples competed in the Multimedia Presentation category. After scoring 68 of 70 possible points, these students won Best of Category and will compete at Avon High School on April 19 against other middle schools throughout the state. The North Clay students used PowerPoint. By incorporating music, still digital pictures, digital video clips and graphs, various modes of technology were used to develop their informative presentation, "Health Hazards 2, Focus: Smoking". The students worked before and after school with the technology available to them at North Clay. They are sponsored by Beth Meuser, Library/Media Specialist, who also judged the upper elementary Multimedia Interactive category. District Media Fair is promoted and organized through AIME, Association of Indiana Media Educators and the Indiana Library Federation.
