Officer arrested for tobacco smuggling

On July 4, at the Wabash Valley Correctional Facility, Correctional Officer Will-iam E. Anderson was caught by Wabash Valley Correctional Facility staff attempting to smuggle tobacco into the prison to traffick with prisoners. A joint investigation conducted by the Internal Affairs Section and the Indiana State Police resulted in an arrest warrant being issued for Anderson for Trafficking with an Inmate, a Class A misdemeanor.
