Jennifer Buell emceed the second annual 2005 Clay County Christian Home Educators Spelling Bee that led to two children moving on to possible district and state victories. The CCCHE Spelling Bee was started in 2004 through the Indiana Association of Home Educators. According to Jennifer Buell, "We had very good participation and response last year to the spelling bee." It is planned to hold the spelling bee each year. Books were purchased for students by The Brazil Times. Editor Frank Phillips served as pronouncer.
