It's been six years since Sept. 11. Do you feel any safer?

Monday, September 10, 2007

I don't feel any safer. I don't see much protection here. The government isn't doing the job.

Mitchell Jackson, Brazil

I can't say I feel safer, can't say I don't. I'm not really worried. My son was in Iraq and he did two tours over there. I worry that he'll have to go back.

Kathy Eldridge, with granddaughter Addison White, Brazil

Do we feel safer? No really. I feel like we started out to secure our country, but we aren't doing a good job at that. You hear about people getting through security all the time. I think that our priorities are in the wrong place.

John and Connie Oxby, Brazil

I don't really worry about it. I worry about my kids and their safety. I guess it's on my mind, but it's in God's hands.

  • I don't feel any safer than the day I came out of the womb on Jan. 15, 1977. Life can take horrific turns and also do a complete 180 and take a wonderful turn to greatness. All I can do is live life to the fullest every day and am always reminded that "it is what it is". We, the people (of the world), need to all come together and unit as one if we want to make the world a much safer place and battle the elements of life.
