Teacher gives thanks to all those who helped

Monday, May 26, 2008

To the Editor:

I am writing this letter on behalf of the Clay Community High Schools to express appreciation publicly to many businesses.

These businesses have helped special education students make a better transition from high school to adult work life.

A big thanks to the following Clay and Vigo County local businesses: Berea Christian Church, Bob Bowen Ford, Burkle Chevrolet, Clay Health Center, St. Vincent Clay Hospital, Cloverleaf Healthcare, Dollar Tree, East Side Elementary, Forest Park Elementary, Forest Park Recreation, Goodwill, Head Start, Holly Hills, North Clay Middle School, Northview Custodial, Page's, Shew Veterinarian, Timberland and Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.

Thank you so much for the support that you have shown to our students by providing them an excellent opportunity to work at their ability, not their disability.

Business partnership with special education students can and does make a difference.
