To the Editor:

On behalf of the Lucas Oil Indy Karting Series, I would like to express our thanks and appreciation to the City of Brazil, the Brazil Parks and Recreation Department and all the fine citizens that came out to Forest Park to enjoy a beautiful day of racing.

This series visits many cities each year, from small towns like Bicknell to large cities like Speedway. Your hometown of Brazil has always been a favorite of associates. This year was again a testament to that fact as 125 entries forego high fuel prices to make the trip to Brazil.

The Lucas Oil Indy Karting Series works with service organizations such as the Rotary and Lions clubs, charitable causes like Kids Racing for Kids, community groups like the Boys' and Girls' clubs and human needs groups like the Diabetes Youth Foundation, raise very needed funds to insure the great work they do will continue.

As we have grown over the years, we have reinvested in our self to insure we can return to communities such as yours. The series utilized plastic crash barriers this year in place of the traditional straw used in the past. The barrier system not only insured a safer and more ecstatic racecourse, but a much cleaner park after we have gone.

We would again be honored to include Brazil in our 2009 season.

On a personal note, I would like to thank the fine folks at Yesterday's Pub. The steak was great, the service was fantastic. To the understanding clerks at Lee's Inn -- we needed a few more rooms than we thought.

Thank you for accommodating us. To the baseball league that was gracious enough to offer food to our associates at the concession stand and finally all the nice people that stopped me in the park to talk about everything from racing to economics, you made my stay truly enjoyable.

Again, thank you,

William McLaughlin, CFO Lucas Oil Indy Karting Series
