Letter to the Editor

The professionalism is appreciated

To the Editor:

In the early morning hours of June 30, we were awakened to the smell of wire burning.

After searching throughout the house for a few minutes, I called 911.

Center Point Volunteer Fire Department was at our home in a few minutes followed by Cory Volunteer Fire Department a few minutes later.

Both departments searched our house several times over but the source was not found.

However, they remained on the scene for more than one hour to be sure nothing was burning.

We would like to express our thanks to both departments for their professionalism and assurance of our safety as well as the 911 operator who took my called and handled it very professionally.

We later found a problem with the refrigerator, but it didn't show while the fire departments were there.

Again, we say thanks to both departments and may God bless each of you.

Sincerely,

Michael and Sonja Litz and Jerald Godsey,

Brazil
