Reader responds to pet letter

To the Editor:

I am writing in regard to "Reader wants people to give pets a chance," (original letter printed Aug. 25, 2008).

Did you ever take a minute to think about how others felt that your cat was just running around?

I have been around my fair share of loose cats. My car has been severely scratched by them. My screens on windows torn and trash ripped open.

Thankfully, we don't have a cat problem where we live now.

And as for talking to the owners, I have yet to find someone to admit that the cats they feed and care for are theirs.

So next time, leave your cats inside. No one wants to put up with that.
