Family thanks all for support

To the Editor:

The Jenkins' family would like to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts to those who helped us out after our house fire.

We would like to thank the following: Brazil Fire Department for acting so quickly to put the fire out, The Brazil Times for running our story, our church, Trinity Baptist, our schools, North Clay student council, Van Buren PTO, and Mrs. Bailey's third-grade class at Van Buren, family and friends and we would also like to thank the anonymous donors too.

Without your help, we would have been lost. We are still not back to "normal" but we are slowly getting there.

I never really understood what it was like for a family to lose everything and how it affected a person. Now that I have been in those shoes, I would never wish it on anybody. It is mentally and physically draining and to have to pick up the pieces afterwards is hard to do.

But thanks to everyone that helped, it made it easier on us. We really can't say thank you enough and we hope someday that we can touch someone's life as much as you have touched ours.

May your kindness return to you in the same beautiful way that it was given to us.
