Cory resident thanks neighbors

Sunday, February 1, 2009

To the Editor:

I just wanted to give a big thank you to all the wonderful farmers, neighbors and family that have spent the last few days digging out most of Cory.

If it were not for them, I can personally tell you we would not be out and about.

While the County Highway Department would like to believe that they have been clearing all the roads, I know for a fact that in the three days I have been stuck at home due to the snow, I have not seen one County Highway truck pass by my home.

I have seen countless farmers go by with plows helping out their neighbors. While I am sure that the County Highway (Department) is out working in some areas, I can assure you that on my stretch of road, they have not been.

Again, thank you to all the farmers that gave us a path to and from our homes to the highway. You are a true blessing.

It is nice to see that "Loving Thy Neighbor," has not gone out in style.

Angel Robinson,

Cory
