Thanks for helping with cleaning

To the Editor:

On Friday, May 8, city employees came together for a downtown cleanup day. Curbs were painted and swept.

There is more to be done and once again, we will come together to finish National Avenue in the near future. I want to take this opportunity to thank each employee who participated, as well as two council members that helped out.

My assistant, Debbie Pierce, for organizing this, Goodies Galore, Sherwin Williams, and Mark Rogers, for hosting lunch for us.

I appreciate the employees that kept offices open so the public could conduct business.
